Earn-outs and other types of incentive-based proceeds can mitigate #risk for a #buyer and possibly increase what the #seller gets. Many of our #clients are initially categorically against these types of non-guaranteed payments but, when used correctly and negotiated well, they can serve a good purpose. Creative solutions like these are not always warranted but when they are, they bring both parties to the table.
